MAPS
Maps is a four piece alternative rock band hailing from the suburbs of Barrie, Ontario. The band formed in early 2010 and plays a diverse style of music inspired by bands such as Coldplay, Deftones, Interpol, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead and Incubus. Their music is characterized by soaring guitar leads, melodic vocal lines, and a pounding drum and bass section. Since the release of their first EP in February 2011, Maps have progressed more into the atmospheric realm, which is present in the new EP entitled “Delirio” released on iTunes in October 2011. Maps strive to create something strikingly new, while still capturing your ear after one listen. At the dawn of a new decade, the group is emerging in a strange time for the music scene and wants to bring people back to music with meaning. It’s all about a movement, just listen to the words…
